The Courante's sharp tailoring is designed to effortlessly emphasise an hourglass silhouette, with a cinched in waist beneath an under bust seam, designed to have the effect of a soft structured corset. The vintage fit and flare silhouette is given a contemporary twist with the deep square back, designed to draw attention to the intricate tapestry of the upper spine. The elegantly structured shoulders support a delicate boat neckline, cut just beneath the underside of the collarbone to showcase the gentle hollows above. Three quarter length sleeves are both flattering and practical and the full skirt features silk pockets and a gentle asymmetry, falling just below the knee at the front and just a palm's width longer at the back. The Courante is made from pure barathea wool, lined in silk and is a perfect boardroom to ballet complete look.
